Dally came to me as an 8 week old pup. She was very cautious about her new environment for the first few days, often times she would just sit back and watch before engaging with me or the other dogs. I was a little concerned at first, but quickly came to realize I love this quality about her. She is a thinker; she evaluates each new encounter before deciding which way to proceed. I can almost see her wheels turning when she works. She began doing chores with me at a very young age,and by the time she was 8 months old I had her doing small gathers and fetches. She is a quiet worker and never rattles her stock. Dally has been working in the pasture this spring with ewes/lambs and is doing an excellent job. She has been on steers this spring and I was very impressed. She is confident on the heels and I watched her actually grip a front hoof! Works with quite a bit of eye for a young pup. Thanks Betty Williams for another great pup! |
